2010 SGNA Conference, April 30 - May 5
Cori Ofstead and Harry Wetzler will present at the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) in Orlando, Florida. Their presentation entitled "Factors that Contribute to Nonadherence with Endoscope Reprocessing Guidelines: A Prospective Study" recounts findings from a national, multi-site study performed by Ofstead & Associates.

Pandemic Materials for Sale
Ofstead has created informational, quirky, and easy to read flyers to help protect yourself and others during the upcoming influenza season.
These flyers dispel myths, address common fears, and give people real-world steps to avoid getting sick. The best antidote is action!

Cori Ofstead Cited in IDSA Policy
We are pleased to announce that an article by Cori Ofstead, MSPH (Principal Investigator) and her co-investigators at the Mayo Clinic was cited in the IDSA Policy on Mandatory Immunization of Health Care Workers Against Seasonal and 2009 H1N1 Influenza. The original policy was created in January 2007, and the revised copy was released on September 30, 2009.
The revised copy includes the removal of declination for philosophical reasons, and detailed steps to protect patients from being infected by unimmunized HCWs.
